Flirtatious skunk 'inspired Depp'

Johnny Depp has revealed an unlikely influence on his performance as pirate Captain Jack Sparrow – an amorous cartoon skunk.

The star, who is in Cannes to publicise the fourth instalment in the 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' series, said he based some of the character on the famously flirtatious Pepe Le Pew from the Warner Brothers cartoons.
