Mills hurt in ski crash

Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills has been admitted to hospital with a serious shoulder injury after a skiing accident in southern Austria.

Mills is reported to have crashed on the Moelltaler glacier yesterday.

She was flown by helicopter to a hospital in the town of Lienz.

Hospital spokesman Alfred Fast said she needs rest and may be transferred to Britain.

Former model Mills married ex-Beatle McCartney in 2002. They divorced in 2008.

Fast said Mills, who has a fractured right shoulder blade, is in pain but is expected to make a full recovery.

He said she will be returning to Britain today.
