Girls Aloud 'to reunite next year'

Girls Aloud will reunite in 2012 to mark their 10th anniversary, according to reports today.

“Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year," the band's manager Hilary Shaw told UK newspaper The People.

"Well, it is their 10th anniversary so there will be something,” she said.

However Shaw said no new studio album is in the pipeline as frontwoman Cheryl Cole remains busy with her solo career and TV commitments.

Speculation continues to be rife about Cole's role, if any, on the US version of the 'X Factor'.

The Girls Aloud boss also insisted that all five members are still good friends.

“The girls are still getting on great, they speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl and Nadine with the other girls,” Hilary told The People.

“Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs.”

The group have not made a record together since 2008’s 'Out Of Control'.
