Ex-EastEnder Collins to take over Rovers Return pumps

Former EastEnder Michelle Collins is crossing over the divide to take on one of the biggest jobs in soapland.

The actress, who played Cindy Beale in the BBC1 soap, is going to be the new landlady of the Rovers Return in Coronation Street.

Viewers will see her character Stella brought into the ITV1 show in June to help owner Steve McDonald run the pub.
