Former soap star expecting

Hannah Waterman is expecting her first child.

The 35-year-old actress – who split from husband and former ‘EastEnders’ co-star Ricky Groves last year after three years of marriage – reportedly got pregnant after a whirlwind romance with a mystery man and although she has yet to name the father, pals say she is “thrilled” with the news.

A friend said: “This may come as a bit of a shock to a lot of people but Hannah is absolutely thrilled.

"She is 35 now and feels it is the perfect time to start a family. Everyone who knows her is sure she's going to be a great mum.”

Hannah is believed to be five months pregnant.

Shortly after their split last year, Ricky revealed Hannah had confessed to being unfaithful during their marriage.

He said: 'I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t know who the other man is. I have no idea and I don’t want to know.

“I feel devastated enough without having a name. I won’t play guessing games and I won’t ask her who he is because that would destroy me.”

Hannah – whose father is ‘Minder’ star Dennis Waterman – has previously spoken of her desire to have children with Ricky, saying: “I work to live, not live to work and we did get married for a reason – to have children one day.”
