TV’s Judge Judy Sheindlin was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles for an undisclosed ailment while recording her show.

A spokesman for the 68-year-old judge said she was “feeling much better” after being taken from her show’s recording by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre yesterday.

Publicist Gary Rosen said Ms Sheindlin would be released from hospital today.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott confirmed that a female patient was taken from Sunset Bronson Studios to hospital after dispatchers received a 911 call about a medical emergency. She was admitted in a serious condition.

The judge presides over small-claims cases on her syndicated show 'Judge Judy'.

Mr Rosen said she would return to recording her show as scheduled on April 12.
