Harris apologises for Perry tweet row

DJ Calvin Harris has apologised after getting caught up in an online row with Katy Perry when he pulled out of her tour ahead of the star's Dublin date on Monday night.

The Scottish star, who appeared on rapper Dizzee Rascal’s number one Dance Wiv Me, said her team “moved the goalposts”.

He tweeted: “It would have looked s***, sounded s*** – trust me you would have been more disappointed SEEING the show than u are with me cancelling.”

Perry responded on her Twitter page, saying: “It’s fine, I’m used to you cancelling on me, it’s become ur staple!”

Harris, 27, who toured with Rihanna in Australia earlier this year, apologised and told fans that Perry’s show was “awesome”.

He also apologised to her, saying: “I am really sorry @katyperry I’m just upset because I really wanted to play but ur team made it impossible.”

Harris also claimed he had received angry messages on Twitter from Perry’s fans.

He said: “The whole KP stuff shd never have been on twitter, I was trying 2 handle it pro behind the scenes but I wont let myself get ripped like that.”
