Report: Madonna scraps Malawi school plans

It has been reported Madonna has scrapped plans to open a school for poor girls in Malawi.

The New York Times says the singer, her manager and others made the decision after taking over the board of 'Raising Malawi'.

More than £2m has already been spent on plans for the school with little to show for it.

Madonna has adopted two children from Malawi and visits the country regularly.
