Beckhams set for baby girl

Victoria Beckham is having a baby girl, it has been announced.

The pop singer turned fashion designer announced her pregnancy in January and it has been confirmed tonight that she and husband David will have their first girl.

A representative for the couple spoke only to confirm the news, saying: "Yes, it is true."

The baby daughter will join the couple’s three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz.

Speaking of his wife’s pregnancy this week, David, 35, said: “She's great, she's very healthy. She's feeling good. She's in London at the moment working.

“We're very excited. It's an exciting time for the family.”

Victoria – who is expected to give birth this summer – has previously said about the sex of her baby: “We know what to do with a boy. The kids are excited about having a little brother to teach how to play soccer. But, if it's a girl, we'd be over the moon as well.”

Victoria’s friend, actress Eva Longoria, is said to planning a baby shower for the family at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles.
