'Waste Land' truly uplifting

Life is grim but art uplifts the human spirit in this beautiful documentary in which New York-based contemporary artist Muniz returns to his native Brazil.

There he works on an ambitious project with the homeless who live and seek survival around – and in – a Rio garbage landfill.

And the result is truly uplifting.
