There was no joy at the Oscars for Skerries-based film maker Michael Creagh whose short film 'The Crush' was nominated in the best live action short fim category.

The movie tells the story of a pupil so infatuated with his teacher that he challenges her fiance to a duel.

The 10-year-old star of the film is Michael's son Oran.

The Oscar went to 'God of Love' by Luke Matheny.
