Kristi (Sprague Grayden) and her husband Daniel (Brian Boland) welcome baby Hunter into their home, which they share with Daniel’s teenage daughter from his first marriage, Ali (Molly Ephraim).

Soon after we learn that Kristi’s sister is Katie (Katie Featherston), the ill-fated heroine from the first Paranormal Activity.

Kristi senses a dark force in the family home. “It feels like they’re always here... like when we were little”, whispers the mother ominously, hinting at dark secrets from the women’s past.

Daniel scoffs at his wife’s ghost stories but Ali is excited about the prospect of a visitation. Little does she realise the horrors to come.

It’s all very polished but there’s very little that we haven’t seen before.
