Jedward expected to triumph in Ireland's Eurosong

Jedward are favourites to win Eurosong, Ireland's selection process for the Eurovision, tonight.

The Dublin twins, famous for their 'X-factor' appearance will enter with a song called "Lipstick".

The other entrants are Nikki Kavanagh, Don Mescall, The Vard Sisters and newcomers Bling.

RTE changed the format this year to include mentors, Irish music industry professionals, to help each of the acts.

This is how the line-up of this year's Eurosong ilooks like :

Don Mescall - 'Talking with Jennifer' (Ronan Hardiman & Don Mescall )

Jedward - 'Lipstick' (Dan Priddy, Lars Jensen and Martin Larson)

Bling - 'Shine On' (Patrick Mahoney)

The Vard Sisters - 'Send me an angel' (Liam Lawton)

Nikki Kavanagh - 'Falling' (Christina Schilling, Camilla Gottschalck, Jonas Gladnikoff and Hanif Sabzevari)

In the interest of fairness for all acts a decision was made that the public vote will now count for 33.3% with the regional juries' vote now accounting for 66.6% of the total vote.

This was changed after an “administrative error” occured involving the release of a preview of “Lipstick” - Jedward’s entry by label Universal Records before the date permitted to do so.

The event itself will be audited independently by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The show will take place on 'The Late Late Show' tonight on RTE 1 at 9.30pm this evening.
