Gabor's husband in hospital

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband was in a Los Angeles hospital along with the 93-year-old actress tonight, after he collapsed in a lift.

Publicist John Blanchette said Frederic Prinz von Anhalt was admitted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre yesterday and was recuperating while his wife remains there indefinitely as doctors try to clear an infection that developed after her leg was amputated.

Mr Blanchette said Gabor and her husband were not staying in the same hospital room.

Gabor, a sex symbol of the 1950s and 1960s who appeared in such movies as Queen Of Outer Space, had most of her right leg amputated last month because of gangrene.

She had been released from hospital on January 22 but returned there yesterday with a high fever, fluid in her lungs and an infection.

Gabor broke her hip and had replacement surgery in July. She had been admitted to hospital several times for swelling and clots before the amputation.
