May and Davey up for Album award

Cathy Davey and Imelda May are among the 10 acts shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize - Irish Album of the Year 2010.

The nominees for the award were announced this afternoon and also include Fight Like Apes, O Emperor and Two Door Cinema Club.

The 6th Choice Music Prize will be revealed at an event in Vicar Street in Dublin on Thursday, March 3.

The winning act will receive a prize fund of €10,000 from IMRO and IRMA.
