Killed-off Baxendale character may feature in 'Cold Feet' revival

Helen Baxendale could be set to feature in a 'Cold Feet' revival, despite her character's having been killed off.

The 40-year-old actress – who played Rachel Bradley in the ITV1 show – has been approached to take part in a reboot of the comedy drama, but admits it would be difficult for her character to make a comeback as she was killed in a car crash in series five.

She explained: "They did come to me and ask and say, 'How can we get her back in?' so I don't know. For a start we haven't heard any more of that, and also it would be a bit 'Dallas'-y, wouldn't it!

"They've been so lovely and said, 'Look, we really would want you in it', but I don't know how they would do that. I don't know what's being proposed and what isn't!"

Despite being best-known for her roles in 'Friends' and 'Cold Feet' – which came to an end in 2003 – Helen doesn't think comedy is her forte.

She added to Digital Spy: "Variety is marvellous, and despite the fact that I've done all those comedy things I don't think that's particularly my forte. I just think it's kind of an avenue that I happened to get taken along on.

"What's wonderful about being an actor is that you do so many different sorts of things. You're not stuck in one genre."
