Outrage over soap storylines

'EastEnders' and Coronation Street's New Year's Eve storylines have sparked outrage among viewers.

More than 2,000 'EastEnders' fans complained to the BBC about the soap's gruesome scenes, which saw Ronnie Branning's (Samantha Womack) baby die from cot death, leading the traumatised mother to snatch Kat Moon's (Jessie Wallace) newborn tot while the infant lay sleeping.
