Streep to take on Thatcher role

Meryl Streep is to play Margaret Thatcher in a film about the former British Prime Minister.

Jim Broadbent, who will play her on-screen husband Denis in 'The Iron Lady', says Streep is perfect for the role.

The film is set in the build-up to the Falklands conflict in 1982 and filming will kick off at the end of January.
