Vaughn becomes a father

Vince Vaughn has become a father, it has been announced.

The ‘Wedding Crashers’ actor’s wife Kyla Weber gave birth to a baby girl in Chicago on Saturday and the couple have decided to name the 7lbs child Locklyn Kyla Vaughn.

A family friend said: “Both of them couldn’t be happier to welcome their sweet little girl into their family!”

It was revealed Weber was pregnant in July but the couple refused to give any further details on the pregnancy.

Vaughn, who previously dated Jennifer Aniston, married real estate agent Weber in January near his home city of Chicago in front of family and friends.

The nuptials took place in an "opulent, historic house at Lake Forest Academy".

Vaughn proposed to Weber on Valentine's Day last year after realising she was the one for him.

He said: "I figured this is not a ship to be missed because I will not forget this date. So Valentine's Day was the day that I asked her."

The 40-year-old funnyman met Weber through a friend and knew almost immediately he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

He said: "She makes me laugh. She is wonderful. I'm just thrilled. It's the first time that I really want to have kids."
