Hurley and husband split
Model Liz Hurley and her husband have separated.
The revelation follows reports that she has been having an affair with Australian former cricket star Shane Warne.
She tweeted yesterday: “Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.”
Ms Hurley, 45, who has an eight-year-old son, Damian, married Indian businessman Arun Nayar three years ago.
Yesterday’s News of the World said she spent two nights with Warne, 41, in his London hotel suite last week.
She has been flirting with him for months via Twitter, it said.
The divorced former spin bowler flew into the UK on Wednesday to shoot interviews for his new TV show, Warnie, the newspaper said, and the pair spent Wednesday and Thursday night at his hotel in South Kensington.
They were seen hugging and kissing passionately, the newspaper added.
Ms Hurley and Mr Nayar married in a civil ceremony at Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, in 2007 and held a blessing and party at the castle the following night.
They then had traditional Indian wedding celebrations at the Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur.
Ms Hurley became known as a girlfriend of actor Hugh Grant in the 1990s and attracted attention in 1994 when she wore a Versace dress held together with giant safety pins.
She gave up city life for a Gloucestershire organic farm, and said last year: “My son Damian is so much happier there – having fresh air and running around outside. We made the big decision last Easter to move down there full time - which was a big, dramatic change for a city girl – but I love it, I couldn’t love it more.”
