Tarmey claims Corrie tram crash idea

Bill Tarmey claims this week's tram crash scenes in 'Coronation Street' were his idea.

The actor - who left the ITV1 soap last month after playing Jack Duckworth for 31 years - revealed he spoke to producers about filming the explosive episodes as a way to kill off his alter-ego and while they didn't do that, they did take his advice on board.
