'I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!' bosses will offer a lifeline to one of the six contestants facing the public vote tonight.

With Gillian McKeith, Lembit Opik, Shuan Ryder, Stacey Solomon, Sheryl Gascoigne and Dom Joly all up for elimination from the ITV1 show in tonight's public vote, one star will be saved from potentially being the first to leave the Australian jungle.

Each contestant will be put into solitary confinement and then be forced to plunge their hand into two "hell holes" filled with gruesome jungle critters, with each hole containing five keys on various puzzles.

The following morning, a further 20 keys will be hidden in the star's porridge, giving them the chance to escape from solitary confinement and be granted immunity from the first eviction.

Elsewhere in the camp, former 'X Factor' finalist Stacey and rapper Aggro Santos prepared to face the Bush Tucker Trial.

While the other contestants – most notably Gillian – had come to dread the tasks, Aggro admitted he was pleased to be given a reason to leave the camp.

He said: "It's what I came here to do. I'm pleased to get out of the camp."

Meanwhile, Stacey – who was forced to don a comic fake moustache for the trial – joked that wearing facial hair had persuaded her to try out a moustache of her own.

She confessed: "I think I might grow my own!"
