Cher and Rebecca 'at loggerheads'

Cher Lloyd is reportedly trying to "isolate" Rebecca Ferguson in the 'X Factor' house.

The two budding hopefuls - who are both mentored by Cheryl Cole - are reportedly at loggerheads, with Cher said to be jealous of Rebecca's ever-increasing popularity.

An insider explained: "It seems Cher is isolating Rebecca in the house. She will focus on someone who threatens her and try to suss out that person's weakness. Rebecca is quieter and more understated, so Cher will be really loud when she's with her.

"That makes Rebecca clam up even more."

Mother-of-two Rebecca has reportedly moved out of the bedroom she shares with other finalists from the ITV1 show, while sources say teenage Cher is doing her best to make herself the centre of attention.

The insider added to heat magazine: "In the living room or the studio, Cher takes over. She doesn't give other contestants any time to say anything or voice their opinions. And she knows Rebecca isn't confrontational and will back off and walk away."

Cher has previously been said to have had spats with other girls from the show, including Katie Waissel and recently evicted Treyc Cohen, who accused her of playing "mind games".
