Potter director Yates cut 'tender' Ron and Hermione scene

David Yates cut a tender scene between Ron and Hermione from the latest ‘Harry Potter’ movie because it was too light-hearted for the film.

While the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1’ director admitted he is a fan of the growing relationship between the magical teenagers Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint, and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), he said he had to remove the sweet scene to keep the dark tone of the movie.
