Gibson fine about losing 'Hangover 2' role, says Neeson

Mel Gibson has no hard feelings about losing his cameo in 'The Hangover 2', according to his replacement Liam Neeson.

There had been reports that the role in the sequel would originally be filled in by Gibson, before Neeson stepped in.

“I spoke to Mel – Mel’s cool about it, we’re all cool,” the Irish actor told Access Hollywood.

“Apparently, yes (the part was Mel’s) – I didn’t realise it at the time,” he added.

The Oscar-nominated star, who previously worked with Gibson in 1984 on 'The Bounty', described their conversation about 'The Hangover 2' replacement as “very pleasant”.

“Mel and I did a movie together about 20 or 25 years ago. It was a long time ago. So, we know each other,” he added.
