Noomi Rapace thinks 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' was so popular because the main character is a "survivior."

The 30-year-old actress played Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish trilogy of films based on the hit novels and said that the story's popularity - including a forthcoming big budget Hollywood remake - is all due to the strong central character.
