Aguilera back on stage for first time since marriage split

Christina Aguilera has performed in public for the first time since her marriage breakdown.

The ‘Ain’t No Other Man’ singer - who announced she had split from her husband Jordan Bratman earlier this month – performed at The Justin Timberlake and Friends Concert in Las Vegas on Saturday alongside Elton John, Salt N Pepper, Selena Gomez and T-Pain.

Justin introduced the singer as "No contest, the best vocalist of my generation,” and the blonde beauty showed no sign of her personal struggles as she performed.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “Christina looked amazing and totally kicked butt. She sang her song 'Fighter'. She was terrific."

After her performance the newly-single star – who filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” on October 14 - went to Tao nightclub with her dancers and some close friends where she stayed until almost 3am.

Meanwhile it has been revealed that Bratman is refusing to leave their marital home.

The singer – who was married for more than five years and has a two-year-old son Max with the music executive – is finding the situation so uncomfortable that she has been staying in a hotel since the split.

Christina recently admitted she has been finding it difficult to cope and is relying on her mother and close friends to help her get through the separation.

She said: "It's not easy, and there have been a lot of tears and sadness. It's impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight. Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on.

"On days when it feels impossible to even get out of bed, much less function as a mother, their support and encouragement have kept me moving forward."
