McElderry set to be most successful X Factor winner ever

Joe McElderry is set to be the most successful male 'X Factor' winner ever, based on pre-order sales.

According to Amazon, sales for the star's record 'Wide Awake' are 49 per cent higher than Shane Ward's debut album.

Joe's also way ahead of the other X Factor kings, Leon Jackson and Steve Brookstein.

Leona Lewis's debut album 'Spirit' in 2007 remains the most successful X Factor debut album of all time.
