Hands off Gorillaz songs, Albarn warns 'Glee'

Damon Albarn has said he would not allow any Gorillaz songs to be used in 'Glee'.

The musician said he wasn’t a fan of the hit musical show, whose stars have already covered hits by the likes of Madonna and The Beatles.

“We wouldn’t let that happen,” Damon said.

He laughed: “And not that they’ve asked us because they haven’t, and now they definitely won’t.”

Damon claimed programmes like 'Glee' showcase “a very poor substitute for the real thing” – and he was unimpressed by the cast recently surpassing the Beatles for the most appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a non-solo act.
