Hirsute comic Russell Brand has clearly found a use for wax - after being immortalised by Madame Tussauds.

Hirsute comic Russell Brand has clearly found a use for wax - after being immortalised by Madame Tussauds.

The model of the star, which cost £150,000 (€171,651) to create, was unveiled at the London attraction this morning.

'Get Him To The Greek' star Brand attended a sitting for Madame Tussauds sculptors in Los Angeles earlier this year.

His figure has been dressed in a Ted Baker grey suit with his signature tight trousers, an open neck black shirt, silver jewellery and topped off with "guy-liner".

Brand will be placed with the celebrities in the "A-list party" area of Tussauds, just a canape's throw from Dame Helen Mirren, his co-star on forthcoming movie 'Arthur'.

Liz Edwards, PR manager at Madame Tussauds, said: "He will undoubtedly be one of the most visually striking figures here at Madame Tussauds London."
