Rihanna wants to duet with Perry
‘Rude Boy’ singer Rihanna has forged a close friendship with Katy Perry, and even organised her bachelorette party in Las Vegas last month, and now wants to work professionally with her too.
Rihanna told Entertainment Today: “We want to get in the studio and hopefully make something for an album, who knows - or maybe for her re-release. We want to do something together for sure.
"In this industry you don't meet a lot of people that are genuine, but Katy is such a free spirit, she has no edit button.
“We just clicked. We have similar personalities and a similar sense of humour and from there she just seemed like a really down to earth person."
Rihanna’s comments come only days after she described Katy’s music as “generic” when promoting her latest album, ‘Loud’.
She said: “Every song was tailored to me. I wanted songs that were all Rihanna, songs that nobody else could do.
"I didn't want the generic pop record that Ke$ha or Lady GaGa or Katy Perry would do."
Rihanna’s ‘Loud’ is scheduled for release on November 12.
