Pixie: I couldn't compete with Cheryl in style stakes

Pixie Lott said she “couldn’t compete” with Cheryl Cole in the fashion stakes when she appeared on ‘The X Factor’.

The ‘Girls and Boys’ singer enjoyed appearing on the judging panel of the show – alongside singer Cheryl, boyband manager Louis Walsh and music mogul Simon Cowell – when they filmed auditions in Cardiff earlier this year, but she didn’t feel any pressure to dress up in competition with the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer.

Pixie said: “I couldn’t compete! I was just focusing on having a laugh. I wanted to dress up, though, so I wore a little black dress and loads of cool accessories.”

Pixie, 19, was also amused by Simon and Louis’ chemistry both on and off-screen, and said despite Simon’s reputation as TV’s ‘Mr Nasty’ he was very nice to her.

She added: “Simon was really nice and made me feel at home, and Louis is so bubbly and smiley and happy; they are so funny together. They pretend to bicker and squabble but in reality they’re best friends.”

Pixie also said she’d “love” to appear on the show on a full-time basis as a judge.
