Cole: I'm no sex symbol

Cheryl Cole says she is not comfortable with being labelled a “sex symbol”.

The singer and 'X-Factor' judge speaks about her rise to fame in her new book, 'Through My Eyes'.

In extracts published in Hello! magazine, she says: “I take it as a real compliment to have nice things said about me, but I don’t really get it when there’s stuff in men’s magazines said about me, I’m not comfortable with the sex-symbol status.”

Cole, 27, also tells of her fondness for dancer Derek Hough, 25, and Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am, 35, describing Hough as “a sweetheart” and Will.i.am a “very special person”.
