Electric Picnic set to be a scorcher

Sunshine and warm temperatures are predicted for this weekend, which is good news for music fans attending the Electric Picnic.

The music and arts festival is taking place in Stradbally, Co Laois starting on Friday morning.

Pod Concerts' John Reynolds said that despite tough economic times, ticket sales are going well.

"I would expect the festival to be all but sold-out by Thursday evening, Friday morning," he said.
