Alley and Hasselhoff set for dancing show

Kirstie Alley and David Hasselhoff are set to appear on 'Dancing With The Stars'.

The 59-year-old actress is reportedly to be partnered with professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy in the upcoming series of the US ballroom dance show, while Maksim's ex-girlfriend Karina Smirnoff revealed she would love to work with Hasselhoff for the 11th season of the reality programme.

Speaking about the former 'Baywatch' star, she said: "He always has something new about him, so I think he would be an interesting person."

Both Alley and Hasselhoff have appeared on reality TV before, with Hasselhoff appearing on the judging panel of 'America's Got Talent', and Alley starring in her own show 'Kirstie Alley's Big Life'.

Other rumoured contestants include singer Michael Bolton, former 'The Hills' star Audrina Patridge, and 'Jersey Shore' favourite Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino.

Hasselhoff's former 'America's Got Talent' fellow judge Brandy is also said to be in "serious discussions" with show producers, as well as Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner.

ABC has refused to comment on the rumoured contestants and will announce the confirmed cast next Monday night during an episode of 'Bachelor Pad.'

The new series of 'Dancing With The Stars' will air on September 20.
