‘Coronation Street’ star Julie Hesmondhalgh may leave the soap for a while.

The actress – who plays dowdy transsexual Hayley Cropper in the ITV soap – wants to take a sabbatical from the show, as Sally Dynevor, who plays long-suffering mother Sally Webster recently has.
