Jason Statham agreed to star in 'The Expendables' so he would work with "cinema god" Sylvester Stallone.

The hunky actor – who portrays violent knife-thrower Lee Christmas in the action war movie – admits he was interested in the action movie as soon as he learnt he would be starring alongside such a "recognised" movie star.
