Big-hair fan Cole boosts sales of hairspray

Cheryl Cole has caused hairspray sales to soar. The 27-year-old beauty - who is renowned for her love of big hair - is believed to be behind a spike in demand for the product, with sales in the UK leaping by a fifth in the past year.
