Brody joins ensemble cast for teacher drama
Adrien Brody is to star as a wandering substitute teacher in 'Detachment'.
The Pianist actor will star alongside fellow Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden, Lucy Liu, Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks and Blythe Danner in the film about three weeks in the lives of several high school teachers, administrators and students through the eyes of a substitute teacher.
Adrien will play Henry Barthes, a substitute teacher, who roams from school to school, imparting modes of knowledge, but never staying long enough to form any semblance of sentient attachment.
CSI’s William Petersen, Bryan Cranston, Tim Blake Nelson and James Caan are also among the cast, which introduces teenage newcomers Betty Kaye and Sami Gayle.
