John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman may find out later if he will be released on parole.

It is his sixth attempt to be allowed to leave jail and all have been opposed by the singer's widow Yoko Ono.

Chapman pleaded guilty to second degree murder after shooting Lennon in New York in 1980.
