Infection keeps Gabor in hospital

Zsa Zsa Gabor developed an infection that will keep the 93-year-old in hospital indefinitely as she recovers from a broken hip.

Doctors hoped to release Gabor yesterday, but Gabor's publicist John Blanchette said an infection changed those plans. He had no further details.

Gabor has been at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Centre in Los Angeles since she broke her hip on July 17 while trying to get into her wheelchair.

The Hungarian-born actress' condition began to deteriorate after hip-replacement surgery days later.

Her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, said over the weekend that Gabor seemed depressed.
