'X Factor' hopefuls combine for two new groups

Simon Cowell has formed two bands from ‘X Factor’ solo singers.

The music mogul, Louis Walsh and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger – who is standing in for Malaria-stricken panelist Cheryl Cole – asked female auditionees Rebecca Creighton, Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane and Sophia Wardman - to form a girl band, while male contestants Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles were given a second chance at success by agreeing to perform as a group.
