Lohan leaves jail for hospital

Actress Lindsay Lohan was freed from jail to go into a rehab programme today.

The 24-year-old served 14 days of a 90-day jail sentence for breaking her probation in a 2007 drug case.

The judge who sentenced her agreed the move into rehab to deal with her alcohol and drug problems.

Lohan had been in a unit of the women’s jail since July 20.

The facility has also housed stars such as Paris Hilton and Michelle Rodriguez.

A judge in Beverly Hills decided Lohan violated her probation by missing seven weekly alcohol education classes since December.
