Blood transfusion for Gabor

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor remained in a critical condition today after receiving a blood transfusion, her husband said.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt said doctors in Los Angeles hoped new medication would help the 93-year-old recover.

He said she was conscious and able to squeeze his hand and whisper a few words .

The Hungarian-born actress of the 50s and 60s broke her hip after she fell out of bed last weekend at her Bel-Air home.

She had hip replacement surgery on Monday. She has had to use a wheelchair after being partially paralysed in a 2002 car accident.
