Hip replacement for Gabor

Zsa Zsa Gabor underwent surgery today to replace a hip she broke falling out of bed in her Bel Air home.

Her publicist John Blanchette said the 93-year-old actress will undergo the procedure at Ronald Reagan UCLA medical centre in Los Angeles.

He said Gabor was watching TV on Saturday night when she reached to answer the phone and tumbled to the floor.

She was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where she spent yesterday with husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt and other family members.

The actress is partially paralysed from a 2002 car accident, which required her to use a wheelchair. She also reportedly had a stroke in 2005.
