Marsh excited by secret plot line where Corry characters are killed off
Kym Marsh is happy not to know if she will be killed off on 'Coronation Street'.
The soap is planning a spectacular stunt for its 50th anniversary - which is expected to see several characters killed when a tram crashes on the cobbles - but producers are refusing to name who will die in the tragedy, which the actress insists has made being on set more exciting.
Kym - who plays barmaid Michelle Connor - said: "Corry's producer Phil Collinson revealed on 'This Morning' last week that several characters will be killed or injured during the show's 50th anniversary storyline. In December, the viaduct collapses and a tram crashes on the cobbles.
"A newspaper speculated that my character Michelle could be among the casualties but, truthfully, none of us know who's involved. It's the first time since I joined the show that a plot has been kept totally under wraps.
"By keeping it so secret, the chances of it leaking out are slim, making it all the more exciting."
The black-haired beauty was also delighted to learn former 'This Morning' host Fern Britton wants a role in the soap and believes the presenter would fit in with the cast perfectly because they are so prone to fits of giggles.
She added in her column for new! magazine: "Fern Britton said last week that she'd love to appear in 'Corry'. It's everybody's ideal job.
"She and Phillip Schofield were always getting the giggles when they did 'This Morning' together, and I often can1t help laughing, too, especially if I'm doing a scene with Beverley Callard!"
