Lohan sentence harsh, says lawyer

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer said today that she and the actress believe the 90-day jail sentence Lohan received earlier this week is harsher than other defendants would have seen under similar circumstances.

Even so, Shawn Chapman Holley said the 24-year-old star would serve her jail sentence and comply with court orders which include a three-month stay in rehab.

Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel sentenced Lohan on Tuesday after ruling that she violated her probation in a 2007 drug case.

Evidence revealed that Lohan had missed seven, court-ordered alcohol education classes since December.
