'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' not for the uninitiated

The Saga continues, though you have to be a dedicated fan – even something of an expert on the storyline or at least a teenage girl – to properly enjoy these films.

If none of the above apply you simply won’t get what’s going on.

Luckily for fans, director Slade seems to have the ability to bring a freshness to the screen that wasn’t apparent in the previous outings. Other than the action, humour and twisted romance it is ultimately a disappointingly slow and poorly acted effort.

We have a series of murders in Seattle and the creation of an army of vampires that threaten the Cullens and Bella who must choose between Edward and Jacob … and there’s an evil vampire bent on revenge.

But if you’re not into any of what’s going on on screen you have wasted good money.
