No regrets for Gallagher

Liam Gallagher believes his brother Noel leaving Oasis was "the best thing" that's happened to him.

The 'Don't Look Back In Anger' band split in August 2009 following an argument between the siblings, something Liam is now pleased about.

Speaking to The New York Post, Liam said: "In hindsight it was the best thing that's ever happened, because we're free to do whatever we want."

Discussing his recently release clothes range Pretty Green, named after The Jam song of the same name, the rocker admits he does not want everyone wearing the collection.

He said: "I don't want just anybody wearing it. And people go: 'Oh, beggars can't be choosers.' Well I ain't a beggar, you know what I mean?"

Recently Liam announced his new band, which also features former Oasis bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, would be named Beady Eye and work had already begun on their debut album.

The 37-year-old singer also recently joked about his dislike of his previous band's name.

He said: "Oasis was a s**t name. I'm glad to see the back of it."
