Lady Gaga claims her music appearing on ‘Glee’ is a dream come true.

The eccentric singer’s songs were used in an episode of the TV show which aired in the US last night and she admits she has been a big fan of the programme since it started.

Speaking before the episode aired, she told Entertainment Weekly: “I love the cast and the creativity of the writers. I went to a musical theatre school and used to dream that someday the students would be singing my songs. Can't wait for 'Bad Romance' and 'Poker Face' in ‘Glee’ fashion!"

As well as songs, the episode featured the show’s cast in some of the singer’s most iconic outfits, including Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) in her version of Gaga’s Kermit the Frog dress and Heather Morris, who plays ditzy cheerleader Brittany, in the infamous lobster head-dress.

Heather said of the elaborate piece: “It was such a chore to wear because I had to dance in it and it wasn't made for dancing… It took us 45 minutes to get it on and off every day. All I could see was what was directly in front of me."

The Gaga inspired episode follows the success of the recent Madonna tribute, which received wide acclaim and sent the album of ‘Glee’s Madonna songs – titled ‘The Power of Madonna’ - straight to number one on the US album chart.

Madonna also praised the show for the tribute, saying: “The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I wish I went to a high school like that… If only.”
